Adelaide Oval is situated right in the heart of the city, framed by the River Torrens and surrounding precinct. Whether you’re travelling by car, bus, train or tram, Adelaide Oval’s close proximity to the CBD makes it easily accessible.
GETTING THERE
Patrons are strongly encouraged to take advantage of public transport when attending events at Adelaide Oval. The Oval is accessible by train, tram and bus services.

Train
The Adelaide Railway Station is located on North Terrace, approximatley a five-minute walk across the Riverbank footbridge or via King William Street. For timetables and more information visit the Adelaide Metro website.
Tram
Trams operate between Glenelg and the city with stops located on North Terrace and King William Road (outside the Adelaide Festival Centre). For timetables and more information please visit the Adelaide Metro website.
Bus
Bus services run throughout the Adelaide metropolitan area and service several bus stops in the vicinity of Adelaide Oval. Refer to the Adelaide Metro website for details.
Taxi
On major event days taxi ranks and drop-off zones are located on Pennington Terrace and King William Road.
Parking
Car parking options on event days vary. Please refer to the What’s On page for parking information relating to each event.
Disability drop off and pick up zones for event days are located on:
- War Memorial Drive, out the front of Next Gen Health Clubs and Tennis SA, adjacent to Pinky Flat. This drop off zone must be accessed from the western side via Montefiore Road or Morphett Street Bridge (disability permit holders only).
- King William Road, adjacent to the East Gate for north-bound traffic
- Pennington Terrace (northern end of Adelaide Oval)
- Non-Event Day
- Adelaide Oval operates two car parks on non-event days. These car parks are open to all visitors including Oval Hotel guests and those attending functions at Adelaide Oval.
- EAST CAR PARK
- Access via King William Road (north-bound lanes only)
- Open 24/7 (excluding event days)
- Wilson Parking fees apply
- Wilson Parking offers a $15.50 Early Bird Book-A-Bay Car Park in the East Car Park on non-event days. For more information please visit wilsonparking.com.au
- NORTH CAR PARK
- Access via Pennington Terrace
- Open 24/7 (excluding event days)

Car Parking Terms & Conditions
- Please follow all instructions given by AOSMA and Wilsons Car Parking staff when parking vehicle.
- AOSMA is not responsible for your vehicle or any property in or on it.
- Car Parks remain open 2 hours’ post event
- All vehicles must fit into a standard park. No Trucks, Buses, Trailers or Limousines are permitted.
- AOSMA reserves the right to redirect to an alternative parking area in extreme circumstances.
