Head of Design, Dezign

Mike is an architect and interior designer with over 30 years’ experience across Australia and in London, specialising in hotel and resort design.

He has led major projects throughout Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, and Fiji with hotel operators including Accor, IHG, Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt and Shangri-La.

Mike joined Dezign as Head of Design in 2021 and has played a key role in evolving the studio’s integrated, outcome-driven methodology, reshaping how our designers connect with our preconstruction and construction teams.

He has led numerous hotel refurbishment and repositioning projects across Australia, balancing brand guidelines with guest experience, and operational performance, with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach to design excellence.
