Joined Hilton Hotels & Resorts for the opening of their first flagship property in Auckland, New Zealand. Operation responsibility during pre/post opening of the iconic property.
January 2002
Head hunted to join the Tokyo Office for Tourism New Zealand in the role of Marketing Projects Manager. 4 years working with the travel industry to increase awareness and outbound visitor numbers from Japan to New Zealand.
November 2006
Returned to New Zealand working for a renown property developer to assist with a numer of projects including lifestyle, International, and apartment brands. Additional responsibilities as General Manager to operate independent properties. Awarded New Zealand Hotel Manager of the Year at the HMA Awards in 2007.
June 2010
Re-joined Hilton Hotels & Resorts, UK & Ireland Division, as Hotel Manager with responsibility or two properties in Scotland and England.
July 2012
Transferred within Hilton Hotels & Resorts to Japan & Micronesia region, with a responsibility as Director of Business Development & Director of Operations. Supported the acquisition of Hilton Odawara Resort & Spa through the intial fesability and later with implementing the substantial renovation and repositioning of the property.
January 2015
Transferred with Hilton Hotels & Resorts as Director of Operations at Hilton Tokyo. Undertook significant renovation projects for the key hotel, including the commercial delivery of ROI commitments on both Guest Rooms and F&B repositoning.
August 2017
Head hunted to join IHGANA Hotels Group as General Manager for The Strings By Inter Continental Tokyo, and then later as Cluster General Manager encompassing responsibility for the pre-opening and launch of IHGs Kimpton brand in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. Undertook a significant repositioning at The Strings along whilst being involved in the development & construction of the Kimpton.
Awarded for the region as IHG General Manager of the Year 2019 and Best Ownership Relationship in Year 2021.
