Ruwani Weerasinghe’s career began in banking with Citibank before transitioning into hospitality, where she built a strong foundation as a finance professional. She progressed into hotel asset management and investment, working across international brands and diverse locations, predominantly in the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Her career includes senior roles with listed companies and REITs such as Accor, Pro-invest Group, and Frasers Hospitality Trust, giving her deep insight into corporate governance, investor expectations, and large-scale portfolio management. Ruwani has partnered with a broad range of ownership groups from high-net-worth individuals to institutional investors equipping her with a clear understanding of the full real estate cycle and both owner and operator perspectives and needs.

In her current role as Director of Asset Management & Acquisition at La Vie Hotels & Resorts, she leverages this breadth of experience to develop strategies that maximise returns, rapidly identify stakeholder priorities, and align operational performance with long-term investment goals.
