Rajit Sukumaran 

Managing Director, South East Asia and Korea, IHG Hotels & Resorts

Rajit Sukumaran is Managing Director, South East Asia and Korea for IHG Hotels & Resorts.

In this role, Rajit is responsible for IHG’s growth, performance and reputation across South East Asia and Korea (SEAK) which is made up of more than 110 open hotels across eleven brands with more than 90 in the pipeline. Based in Singapore, Rajit heads the SEAK leadership team, is Chairman of IHG’s SEAK Diversity & Inclusion Council and represents the region on the Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa (EMEAA) leadership team.

Rajit brings more than 18 years of hospitality experience to this role. He joined IHG in 2017 and in his most recent role of Chief Development Officer, EMEAA led the growth strategy for IHG’s brands across the region.

Prior to IHG, Rajit held the role of Senior Vice President, Acquisitions and Development, Asia Pacific at Starwood Hotels & Resorts and worked in the Corporate Finance division of PricewaterhouseCoopers Singapore where he was involved with several cross-board corporate transactions including mergers, acquisitions and initial public offerings.

Rajit graduated from Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University with a degree in Bachelor of Accountancy and lives in Singapore with his family.
