MARIA ARIIZUMI

Vice President – Development, South East Asia, Hilton

Maria leads Hilton’s development across South East Asia as Vice President of Development, South East Asia. She is based out of the Hilton corporate office in Singapore.

Maria joined Hilton from Swire Hotels, where as Head of Development & Projects, she led the efforts to set up Swire’s 3rd party hotel development platform, with her responsibilities spanning hotel development, planning and projects across Asia Pacific, Europe and North America. During her tenure, Swire Hotels saw a doubling of the group’s hotel portfolio.

Maria’s extensive hospitality career spans both hotel owners and operators. Her prior experience at Galaxy Entertainment Group, Marriott International and Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting covers hotel development, feasibility, and corporate finance roles. A native of Japan, Maria is a long-time veteran of the Japan market, with long time development experience overseeing Japan, Hong Kong, and South East Asian markets.
