MELVIN CHAND

General Counsel, Head of Real Estate Sales & Hotel Development, Nawi Island

Melvin is born and bred in Suva, Fiji. He attained his Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce (in International Business and Marketing) from the University of the South Pacific in 2015. He was admitted to the Fiji Bar in 2015 as well. His experience ranges from teaching at a university, working in one of Fiji’s largest and go-to law firm, and currently as the General Counsel and the Head of Real Estate Sales and Hotel Development at the multi-faceted Nawi Island Integrated Tourism Resort in Savusavu, North of Fiji. He has served a company director as well, and intimately worked with all building and other contract negotiations, documentation, and management. His focus now is creating a bigger tourism market pie in the North.
